Scrapbooking Crops

I am so excited. I am going to my first crop. It isn't until September 25th, but I can hardly contain myself. I am already planning my papers and pictures. Getting embellishments that I may use ready. Not sure if I will get much done or gathering tips from others. I am still pretty new at this, but ready to learn more and more. I have a new border punch coming in the mail. It is from the Fiskateer.com website. If you are not a Fiskateer, it is a great site to join. Check it out.

  1. Hey there! I'm sorry that I am just now getting back to you from your question on my blog about distressed inks. When I first started I went to this girl's blog http://cstoen.blogspot.com/2009/03/fargelegging-med-distress-en-liten.html and read how she did it and went from there. She is awesome!!! I hope it helps you also.
Thank you so much for the sweet comments on my blog! They make my day!

    Hugs, Dena

  2. Thanks so much for checking out my blog.

    Your first crop! Congrats!

A good way to get a lot done is to pre-pack your stuff in kits so you have everything you need, ready to go, instead of working on it and then leaving it unfinished because the embellishment you want is at home.

A good way to prepare for creating your own page kit is to flip through your favorite scrapbooking magazine. Take the sketch with you, pack the necessary supplies, put those in a 2 gallon ziplock bag, and you'll be cranking out layouts in no time. It helps because then you don't pack everything and the kitchen sink!

You can find some great sketches at pagemaps.com and sketchabilities.blogspot.com.

    Have fun!
