What I have been up to and giveaway to come.

I have been working on wooden photo cubes. I hope to find the cord to my camera so I can post photos this next week. I won goodies from Scrap Girl and they were more awesome in person than in the photo. I have also been working on small cross stitch pieces to use for cardmaking and scrapbooking. I hope to get stuff together to have a giveaway in December.
I have a auto immune disease called psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. It has really kept me down this past year. I have started a new treatment and hope it works soon so I can make more goodies and have more to share here on my blog.
I am going shopping today with a girl my husband works with to learn the best uses of coupons. She said she will be able to get us about $200 worth of groceries for $25. She is planning on working with me untill I am sure of myself and helping us build up a stockpile. I don't plan on using this to hoard, but it would be nice to have a little put back and be able to save money to help pay off some bills and become debt free. In exchange she wants me to help her get started in scrapbooking. Sounds like a win-win situation to me. Hope things are going good for everyone. I hope to get my giveaway ready to do in December. Be watching.

I have been in and out of the hospital for the past 7 months. It is so good to be out. My house had to have some work done and my craft stuff was packed away. I hope to get it all settled again and begin to do some scrapbooking, cardmaking, and altered art. Right now I only have my cross stitch stuff accessible. I have loved looking over some of your blogs and seeing what everyone has been up to. Such talented ladies on blog land and the blog candies some of you are offering is stupendous. Hope to find my camera, get my crafting stuff organized and get busy in craft land. God bless each of you and look for a little blog candy coming from here, hopefully next month.

Busy, busy, busy

Well getting ready for my first crop this weekend. It can't come soon enough. I am so excited. I have been really sick with bronchitis and was afraid I couldn't go. I found out I may have lupus and have to be tested. If anyone has lupus or knows of a great place to chat with people with lupus please let me know. I am checking my options out. Have a blessed day. Scrapbooking Crops

I am so excited. I am going to my first crop. It isn't until September 25th, but I can hardly contain myself. I am already planning my papers and pictures. Getting embellishments that I may use ready. Not sure if I will get much done or gathering tips from others. I am still pretty new at this, but ready to learn more and more. I have a new border punch coming in the mail. It is from the Fiskateer.com website. If you are not a Fiskateer, it is a great site to join. Check it out.

What a day.

Boy what a day today. I was so hoping to do some crafting, but alas my psoriatic arthritis is in a flare. I am in such pain, but I am blessed to be able to feel pain. That means I am alive and have gotten another day to spend with my family and watching my son grow up, another day to praise God, another day to talk to friends, another day to learn more about God, just another day, and another day to share Jesus with someone. Thank you God for another day.

Great Day

Had a great day at church today. In sunday school we are doing a Beth Moore study and today's lesson was about Joy and how we let others and circumstances steal the joy that God has given to us. Here are some things Beth says we let take our joy.
1. When our output exceeds our intake. Are you serving more than you are seeking?
2. When our talk exceeds or walk.
3. When we become "wonder-junkies"
4. When we are exhausted.
5. When we feel all alone.

Are you letting your joy be stolen from you. By recognizing where our joy has went we can get it back.

Lord, may we look to you for our source of joy and rest in the promises you have for us. May we be on the look-out for the joy stealers and come to you when we see those joy stealers in our lives. Amen
